Ilkley Tuition notes there have been a significant number of changes made to the GCSE Maths syllabus in the last two years, with the new grading system being the biggest talking point. In 2017 GCSE Maths students will be the first to receive a grade between 1 and 9, although U is still possible if a paper is marked unclassified. With the additional grade 9 at the top end of the marking system the new GCSE Maths exams are set to be more difficult than ever and this certainly seems to be the case with the specimen papers being released by the major exam boards. The new course also contains topics such as functions, Venn diagrams and multiple other new sub topics, some of which have previously been seen on AS Level Maths syllabuses. For this reason all of our Ilkley GCSE Maths tutors have been more vigilant than ever when preparing their lesson plan and corresponding materials to ensure that all of the new changes have been incorporated into the course of tuition. Therefore if you are looking for a GCSE Maths tutor in Ilkley you can be confident when contacting Ilkley Tuition!
