Ilkley Grammar is not a traditional Grammar schools although some outside of the area believe it is. Although it retains the name there is no selection process for gaining entry into the school. It is still considered as outstanding by Ofsted and is still a popular choice for many local people especially as GCSE and A Level results continue to be excellent and well above the national average, year after year.
