Here at IlkleyTutors, we strive to offer an excellent service which is essential for success in everyday life, education and work. This includes English and Maths and are widely recognized as a fundamental aspect of a well-rounded education. Fast Track Functional Skills is an innovative approach to learning that aims to help learners achieve functional skills qualifications quickly and efficiently. They are designed to be intensive and focused, helping people acquire those additional qualifications needed in a shorter time frame.

These courses are hugely beneficial to anyone who needs flexibility to study alongside other commitments such as work, family or just a busy schedule. A huge benefit to note is these examinations are Ofqual regulated and are accepted by employers, universities and apprenticeships. These courses are particularly helpful for learners who may have struggled with more traditional learning methods in the past.

One key thing to keep in mind is that even Fast track functional skills exams need effective preparation, even more so with the little time you do have. Every second really does count! Some ideas of effective revision techniques would be a pre assessment test that students can complete which highlights topics which most need improvement on and completing topic revision focusing on these more weaker areas, then moving onto past papers. Each exam board differs in respect to the formation and style of their Functional Skills papers, so it is vital that you have completed functional skills past papers for the exam board you are sitting, this will give you a much better understanding of what to expect on the day of your exam. The main thing to note is that these examinations will be accepted by employers, Universities and apprenticeship schemes as a GCSE equivalent to a grade C or level 4 .
